I wish I could just design all day!

The funny thing about the “business” of design, is that design only seems to play a small part. I got into design because I really enjoy it. If I had my way I would sit behind my mac, iPod playing in my ears, have photoshop open and design, design, design the whole day away. But, as with many things in life, it is just not that simple. You end up being inundated with meetings, bills, IT issues, more meetings, emails, paperwork, staff issues, quotes, meetings, revised quotes, bills, emails, network issues, emails, and more emails… you get the point right?

Afridesign Website Launch 2010

A Fresh, New-Looking Afridesign Website!
After months of hard work, careful consideration and revamp after revamp, we are excited to announce that our new website has finally been launched! Starting with a complete code makeover, we have completely rebuilt the site from the ground up. With an array of improvements from syndication and API’s to source code compression.

Talking about the website, Wayne Howcroft, Managing Director at Afridesign, commented: ‘I am delighted with our new website, I believe it not only reflects what we are about, but it also showcases what we are capable of from a technical and creative standpoint. This has truly been a team effort, from design concept to final role out. Big thanks to the team for the number of hours and all the contributions that have gone into this project.’

What have we changed, or added?

We have incorporated the following into the new website:

  • Mobile websites, or .mobi sites – a great advertising platform for large scale promotional campaigns
  • Corporate Identity packages, giving you the option of having an entire corporate identity created for your business alongside your logo
  • Social Media & Internet marketing packages, allowing you to get the most out of your website
  • RSS, Twitter and Facebook feeds
  • A new, improved blog

Why have we done this?

New services: Over the last few years, the range of services that we offer has grown quite substantially, and we felt that the new website should be a reflection of this. We have also tried to provide as much information as possible about our services, on our website.

Usability: We have aimed at making the navigation of our website easier for our clients and visitors. We do not want anyone struggling to find what they need on our website.

A New Look: We just got bored with the look of the previous website. It was time for something different & a bit more up-to-date!

Can you give some feedback?

We would love to have your feedback!
