Website Design :: My Gas Gas Solutions
One of our long-standing clients, My Gas Gas Solutions, has gone from strength to strength over the years.
In keeping with their ever expanding business and service offering, it is fitting, as well as necessary, that their website & database evolve in the same way.
We would like to introduce My Gas’ newly revamped website. We have given it a fresh, new look, as well as showcased services & products which were not previously catered for on the previous site.
Below are some screenshots which will give you a taste of what we have been working on the last few months. For more, please visit the website itself at www.mygas.co.za .

Website & Logo Design :: Perfect Travels
Just recently we launched a small website for a company specialising in tailor-made African travel itineraries, named Perfect Travels.
We started off with the logo design, which then set the tone for the design for the website.
Website Design :: Remington SA
Currently Remington SA is running a competition across South Africa, in search of the perfect “Mystery Girl”.
We were given the pleasure of designing and building the Remington SA website and mobi site in conjunction with the “Mystery Girl” competition.
We were also commissioned to build and integrate the competition entry form into the Remington SA Facebook Page.
Below, you can see some screenshots taken from the website, mobi site & Facebook Page.
Who knows ladies, after seeing the designs and the prizes offered, you may even think about entering the competition yourself?

Web Design & Development :: Transearch Executive Search International
One of the latest projects that we completed was for the world-renowned placement agency, TRANSEARCH Executive Search International. Transearch is a large international executive search firm covering areas including Automotive, Board Services, Consumer & Retail, Energy and Natural Resources, Financial Services, Industry, IT, Telco & Media & Life Sciences.
We designed the current website for them, developed it and we are currently maintaining their intranet as well. While the project has allowed us to flex our development muscles, we were very happy and honoured to have been given the opportunity to work for a company of this kind.
Below is a snapshot of the website:
“Hi Johan,
Thank you for the feedback, appreciate the effort – really I do. The whole team has been tremendous. I feel very excited to be able to work with such a dedicated talented group of people and I feel confident that the system will be amazing when everything is finalised.
Rgds,
Celeste Whatley”
Web Design: Counting For Something In Google Search
Finally, it seems as though the design of your website will count for a little more now in Google’s search results.
Just this morning, I was doing a search on Google South Africa, and noticed that if I hovered over each of the web results, that Google would display a screenshot of the web page in question, within the search results. This has not quite yet been rolled out to everyone, however, I suspect that it might be.
This feature is a part of Google Instant, and as always, has been aimed at creating the easiest, fastest and most accurate searching experience for Googlers – much like flipping through a magazine.
With this in mind, the design of your website now plays a bigger role in terms of whether a user will click on your web listing or not. Not only can a user read the snippet of info displayed under your website listing, but they can now see what your website looks like, before visiting it.
Before this, website design only played a role once people actually visited your website, this is not the case anymore.
If your website has an outdated design, the chances of your website being visited by potential clients are compromised. Obviously, if your website design is top notch, then you can look forward to increased traffic.
So, best you review your website design before you start losing out on potential traffic!
I wish I could just design all day!
The funny thing about the “business” of design, is that design only seems to play a small part. I got into design because I really enjoy it. If I had my way I would sit behind my mac, iPod playing in my ears, have photoshop open and design, design, design the whole day away. But, as with many things in life, it is just not that simple. You end up being inundated with meetings, bills, IT issues, more meetings, emails, paperwork, staff issues, quotes, meetings, revised quotes, bills, emails, network issues, emails, and more emails… you get the point right?

8 Things Which Make A Website Design Great
Ever wondered what makes a particular website a really great website? I have. Hence this article.
Large volumes of traffic to your site every month, doesn’t necessarily mean that your website is anything special. You can buy your own traffic. You could have the worst looking website in the world and still get hundreds of thousands of people to your site everyday.
How To Choose A Website Developer
So you’ve finally decided to join the family we like to call the Wild Wild West, I mean, the World Wide Web.
You’ve realised that your company will go no further until you get your spot on the web, but where do you start?!
There are many design and development companies out there. Therefore, it is important to make an informed decision. You can’t just go for the company that gave you the cheapest quote. Quantity & quality go hand in hand – you get what you pay for.
